Just released my new Pinboard app for iOS 14 and macOS Big Sur called Pins. I've been looking for a good Pinboard app but most have been discontinued or rarely have any updates in the last few years. So I took the matter in my own hands and built one. Pins is free to try — give it a look if you're a happy Pinboard user like me!
Congrats on launching! Excited to try it out!<p>Full disclosure: I’m the creator of Pushpin…and yes I feel guilty about how long it’s taken me to make improvements.<p>Your client looks fantastic, awesome job!
Just to update as I posted a lot here.<p>I would still like a handful of features spread between Spillo and especially/mainly Pushpin, which is the gold standard for me. Just like with Pushpin, I’ll pay for a solid Pinboard app just to support it. Hopefully you continue updating!<p>I know SaaS for software like apps is frowned upon here, but I’d be cool paying $10-25 a year (when paying annually) for a solid Pinboard app across iOS and Mac.
Are tag auto complete on the horizon? I use tagging a lot and it is really hard to tag without.<p>Also one amazing feature Pushpin has I haven’t seen elsewhere is they also tell you how many times you have used a tag during auto complete. If this could be available cross platform, it would be amazing.<p>Paying is not a problem.
Thank you for this! I've been unhappy with the iOS options recently (bugs, no one replying to bug reports, etc). So far your app is working better than the other choices and it handled my 15k+ bookmark collection easily.<p>The most important feature for me is being able to use the iOS share function and quickly add something with tags (and tag auto-complete). It would have been nice to test that ahead of the in-app purchasing but decided to go for it. Happy that all works well. Great work.
This looks promising. I've been looking for a new Pinboard iOS client, since Pushpin started flaking out on me recently.
(I have over 17,000 bookmarks, so maybe I'm an edge case, but Pushpin has been timing out on me a lot. Maybe I should just clean up my bookmarks...)
Looks great. Unfortunately login with api token doesn't seem to work for me on iOS ("Invalid login credentials"). Also tried resetting my token.
