Hehe, this is fun. Icebreakers, when done regularly, helps build trust and creates a work environment where people feel they can share. This usually happens in person, hanging out or perhaps over lunch. With knowledge work going virtual, it's hard to have these serendipitous moments. Icebreakers maybe feels cheesy, but you have to force these moments, or they just don't happen.
Disclaimer, I made this! In our daily standups we try to do some ice breakers to help the team get to know each other.
We started to struggle to find good ice breaking questions, and most sites are just very long lists to parse through.
Over my lunch break, I threw this together, and we figured we would make it public in case anyone else wanted to use it.
Any other ice breaking prompts would also be appreciated!
