Shell says its oil production has peaked and will fall every year

It seems like an oil peak for a company like Shell could occur whenever they want. It seems like they are basically admitting that they have stopped exploring for new oil reserves and they will no longer be investing in increasing production at their existing reserves. It certainly seems like they are looking to drive the price upwards while at the same time reducing their investment, all while getting to claim to be more green.
