Apple acquired darksky weather app last year so they have a weather backend<p><a href="https://www.theapplepost.com/2020/04/01/apple-acquires-popular-weather-app-dark-sky/" rel="nofollow">https://www.theapplepost.com/2020/04/01/apple-acquires-popul...</a><p><a href="https://maps.darksky.net/@temperature,2021-2-13,18,-32.328,155.901,12640930?3d" rel="nofollow">https://maps.darksky.net/@temperature,2021-2-13,18,-32.328,1...</a>
I’m not sure what you mean specifically but if you zoom to a reasonably small area in Apple Maps it does show the current weather conditions for that area, in the bottom right corner.
Is the weather data supplied as open source, with a requirement that any products that uses it must be similarly open???
A lot of this data comes from NASA.
If this is the case, any map maker with a fee basis might not want to give their work product away with that sort of strings on it??
