“We will set a goal of increasing the representation of Black and Latino colleagues in leadership by 50 percent by 2025.”<p>I wonder how they arrived at the 50% figure.<p>Rounding up, Latinos are about 19% of the US population, and Black people are around 15%.<p>Let’s say the combined total is 35%.<p>I’d be curious to know by what logic they are arguing for these two groups specifically to be represented so much more than their overall representation in society.<p>These are not the only minority groups, and I see no reason to expect that this won’t come at the expense of say, Asian Americans and other less visible groups who don’t fall into Black or Latino.
