This article highlights that while we have yet to read the &#x27;break even&#x27; point where a QEC algorithm extracts more error than it introduces, we&#x27;re getting close.<p>They also advocate that an &#x27;all of the above&#x27; approach consisting of, for example, error aware compilation (this is implied) and QEC algorithms oriented to the most common errors may be the path forward to a &#x27;fault tolerant enough&#x27; quantum computer.
