Interesting note about the pseudo-uniqueness of GUIDS.<p>Version 1 GUIDS were&#x2F;are based on MAC address. There was actually an unfortunate bug&#x2F;issue with VMs in that they typically (all) shared the same virtual internal MAC address by default. This of course was not something that the version 1 GUIDS anticipated. As a result it was not all that uncommon to find duplicate GUIDS generated by VMs
