This will a) give Google a privacy win in the mind of the consumer and b) make it harder for companies that aren't Google to track users. It's genius. Evil, but genius.

Out of curiosity, are cookies being totally phased out or will websites still be able to use them for things like sessions?<p>This is just third party cookies like if you put a Facebook like button on your site, right?
