I&#x27;m more concerned by the explicit racism of the finger clamp blood oxy&#x2F;flow meters not working on African Americans and the consequences for failing to detect decreasing oxygenation.<p>But yea, pantomime is large in covid

Did anyone think those thermometers were more than &quot;security theater&quot;?<p>The one contactless thermometer I know of with approval for hospital use requires wiping the skin and aiming two separate beams until they line up for getting the distance correct.<p>People are using rebranded thermometers that are usually used to tell you what&#x27;s hot and what&#x27;s really really hot... think burn your skin off hot
