This is cool, but how do individuals overcome the information asymmetry in hiring?<p>That is, even a medium sized company knows what tens or hundreds of other candidates are asking for in terms of salary or benefits. An individual does not know this. The company can offer a lowball, knowing that it's low, and then raise the offer should the candidate balk. An individual essentially always has zero information about their own value, and can't make an intelligent counteroffer.<p>I don't see how this problem in marketplaces can be overcome without mandatory pay transparency.
