If I remember correctly, several years ago I read a story in front page of HN about an ex-programmer who had enough with programming and decide to become a farmer (specifically potato farmer, IIRC).
Unfortunately I lost my bookmark, I forget the title and haven't been able to found it again. Does anyone have an idea which article or site is it?
Thanks!
Unrelated (actually related somewhat) but fun to watch:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9ZjqJEC1lo
Can’t help you find the post this time around but to prevent this problem going forward you might find useful a tool I built that lets you search through the full text of every site you visit. https://www.crestify.com the free plan has all the features right now and it’s open source too
Edit: I believe this is the post Death of a Programmer, Life of a Farmer https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=9492110 but the article is a dead link now :/

Not sure as it doesn't exactly match your description, but it's close:
I Sell Onions on the Internet https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=19728132
