Fantastic article from the man, the myth, the legend. He is a billionaire and wanted by the law, but supposedly he may turn himself in soon https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-03-03/bitmex-s-...
Article is superb. Explains very clearly the bull case for crypto and the macro environment we live in caused by the money printers. I agree that we are headed for an extreme outcome from all of this “free” money. Hold onto your butts!
The repeated references to Breton Woods/petrodollar reminds me of when Nigel Farage kept banging on about Habeas Corpus during the Brexit debates. To put it another way, this sounds like the lunatic ramblings of a homeless man hanging around a bus station.
What happens if a month from now, some major governments decide "the environmental impacts of bitcoin have become ludicrous, have yourselves an 80% transaction tax to cover the CO2 cost"?
Good article, one question: "We talked about Bitcoin for half the meeting. I asked him if he owned any, and he said no, but he tells all his clients they should own it. "
If it is such a brilliant hedge, why doesn't he own any?
