Title is a little misleading.
It should be "Employees ACTUALLY work less than 3 hours a day" or just quoting the first paragraph which is less sensational - "average employee is productive for less than 3 hours in an 8 hour working day".
For the point of the article itself I think it comes to no surprise at least to me. I think it's been a known thing that the most productive hours are around 10 - 12 depending on the starting time.
Clicking into it I hoped it would go on into analysis of meeting and attention spans and maybe also be more professionally scoped but it seems very general and written in broad terms to try to apply to a lot of professions at the same time.
Some assumptions are just way out of control and the calculations are ludicrous for me:
> No work happens post afternoon on a Friday. Deducting another 3 hours from the week.
I think if there are companies that actually have people not working for 2 hours every Monday and 3 hours every Friday they might have some bigger culture problem.
> Social Media: 1 hour, Distractions: 30 min, Me time: 30 Min
These all seem the same with different names. Also a lot of it is not applicable under remote work which seems to be more standard in 2020-2021 pandemic.
At the end I see it's content marketing for time management consultant so I'm a little disappointed. I was hoping for a more researched article.
