Letter from President Reif: Supporting our Asian community in a difficult time

How dare Rafael Reif try to play the race card on the recent shootings in Atlanta.
The shooter has made it clear to law enforcement that his only motive was to "remove the temptation" that these largely Asian-staffed massage parlors were creating for this self-identified sex-addict.
In which case, what Rafael is really angry about here is that folks in the sex-trafficking industry were the real target of this attack, because Rafael, along with so many of his "woke" colleagues at places like MIT and Harvard University, are huge supporters of the sex-trafficking industry, because they believe that it "empowers" women.
Let's remember that Rafael Reif sent a personally signed thank-you note for a lousy $800,000 donation to the MIT Media Lab to one of the most notorious sex-traffickers in US history: good ol' Jeffrey Epstein!
The targeted killing of a dissident journalist by one of Jeffrey's best friends, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, didn't prevent Rafael from taking a million or two from that assassin either. Neither did it prompt him to write a letter to the community about the need to respect free speech and other basic human rights.
But kill anyone working within the sex-trafficking industry ... well, that deserves a letter decrying "racism" that needs to be distributed through sites like Hacker News.
Of course the sex-trafficking that Mr. Reif values the most is not happening inside seedy side-of-the-road massage parlors, but rather inside five-star hotels, for example in Kendall Square located in MIT's own backyard, where so-called "sugar-babies" meet up with middle-aged professionals (which reportedly includes plenty of university professors from universities that charge $50,000/yr. tuitions) to provide them with sexual "favors" in exchange for the "allowances" and other gifts that they receive as part of their "arrangement."
The biggest name in the college-based sex-trafficking industry, SeekingArrangment.com, was started by none other than MIT Sloan School of Management graduate Brandon Wade, who like Mr. Epstein, is one of MIT's wealthiest donors.
Wade, who is worth over $50 million today, claims more than 5 million sugar-babies are currently available "for hire" on his website alone, in an industry that has now reached an estimated 30 million worldwide.
https://www.thecrimson.com/article/2019/5/20/sugar-baby-univ...
According to this article, the primary reason why most young college girls are signing up to sell "sugar" (also known as their "body" ... conveniently disguised on Wade's web site as their "companionship") to their middle-aged male counterparts is to help cover the salaries of overpaid university administrators like Rafael Reif and the minions with whom he surrounds himself, like MIT ICEO John Dozier, as well as his predecessor, Susan Hockfield, who reportedly continues to receive $700,000 per year from MIT as part of her settlement after "unexpectedly" stepping down as the former president of MIT ... for reasons officially "still unknown" :)
