I think maybe this is hard to answer! Yesterday I started going through my favourited comments and pasting the most uplifting of them into an answer here, but gave up after half a dozen. They weren't <i>that</i> uplifting. But the answer just occurred to me -<p>Probably 90% of the most inspiring, uplifting comments I've read on HN have been those written by dang. Many times I've just sat there and marvelled at them. I not long ago recommended a non-HN friend getting involved in community organisations/meetings/leadership read his comments, to marvel at his patience, wisdom, communication skills, calmness, generosity, openness..and many other virtues.<p>It seems more usual in the real world that the government/manager/leader etc of a country seem among the worst people for the job. Or at least that a random choice of leader would mostly be better!
