Hey!
firsty - great work :). I love looking at my listening stats, and its a clean and easy-to-use interface. Few thoughts..
1) I'd love to be able to explore and get recommendations / browse for more music by genre - i find spotify generally bad at helping me do this, but find it the best way of dicovering new music I don't know
2) can you show the actual numbers associated with the stats - i.e. most played by me on a per track, per artist etc basis?
3) I'd love to see any graphical representation of overall listening habits - e.g. a time-series of plays per day, with the ability to filter / narrow down by artist, genre, whatever? Was I depressed in october and listening to lots of radiohead? Or pumped in February and listening to lots of Lizzo?!
keep up the great work!
Folks, Echoes is a web app for exploring personal music streaming stats, from services like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music. We've been developing it as in-house project to sharpen our skills and learn new stuff.
You can connect streaming services (currently Spotify) and explore your music streaming stats; top artists, top tracks, recently played tracks.
Spotify APIs is pretty nice to play with, in the Discover section you can discover more great music based on your streaming data, create playlists that will be added to your Spotify library instantly. Like tracks, follow artists easily that in sync with your Spotify account.
We also use Spotify Web Playback SDK, which is in beta, to provide a full music listening experience without leaving the app.
We will be working on to add more streaming services, and also features. Kindly let us know your thoughts, how we can improve the experience, and what you want to see in a music discovery app like this.
