You can't trust Amazon when it feels threatened

This really hits home for me. I'm a full time, all-in "Cloud Engineer" that uses AWS almost exclusively and it's the first time I've ever had a serious doubt about my future with this technology. I really like @QuinnyPig's writing and think he's pretty on point with most things, this story is no exception.
Further down in the article he mentions people seriously asking, for the first time, how to move away from AWS. That same thought has crossed my mind for the first time. I'm not naive enough to think that Amazon (or any large corporate entity) really cares about me but I thought AWS was at least honest. Not any more. Maybe the new AWS head honcho can help turn this around. Maybe.

This hit home for me, unfortunately. I'm hoping it does for other AWSers as well.
I work for AWS, but do not speak on their behalf.
