Expected some breakthrough but seems to just be a software to do what was known:
- even with GPU it takes forever on a good password:
"However, a non-standard combination of symmetric cipher and hash function (e.g. AES + Whirlpool, or Serpent + SHA-256) requires trying all possible combination of ciphers and hash functions. This will be significantly slower; about one password per second on the same computer equipped with a single video card"
- leaked encryption key on RAM, hybernate, swap files might be used and are fast (< days) no matter how big your memory was.
Those who used Truecrypt and use VeraCrypt , in general, know how to choose a good password.

TLDR, if I didn't mis-skim it...
If you have crappy passwords, it can be cracked.
In other news, water is found to be wet...
