Basically the title says it all. We are 2 engineers, we are interested in moving to US so we can access the North American market. We have already checked E-2 investor visa [1], but unfortunately, we don’t qualify. We found more information about Canadian startup program [2] as well, and we are checking it.
We are planning to apply for startup programs (e.g. YC, Techstarts, etc.).
Question: (1) Is there any way we can prepare for this?. We heard various stories from international YC founders, but how do founders do it?. (2) If you see that Canada is a better place today, please let us know why?.
Any help appreciated!
[1]: https://www.uscis.gov/working-in-the-united-states/temporary-workers/e-2-treaty-investors
[2]: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/start-visa/designated-organizations.html
Is that your first startup or have you done any other projects? If you can show some previous achievements O-1 could be an option: https://www.uscis.gov/working-in-the-united-states/temporary...
