Having a crypto punk is a status symbol in the crypto world. It’s the original NFT and is pre-ERC721 standard so marketplaces integrate bespoke. They touch the right level of meme, coolness, and 8 bit style that it’s kind of a quasi-troll in that they are worth so much. I love this project.
