I stopped typing my emails in 2019 and now fully use dictation.<p>I'm aware it's not the most efficient system - but it makes e-mail a lot more fun & enjoyable.<p>Since then, every once in a while - in an act of over-optimism, I switch on VoiceControl and attempt to get rid of my mouse and keyboard for all my other tasks.<p>And every time, it's completely unusable (even e-mail)...<p>You would think that "Brain to voice to computer" would come before "Brain to computer" (Neuralink).<p>Certainly the next generations of ComputerUI's would be voice controlled.<p>"God gave us 10 styluses. Let's not invent another." / "God game us a voice. Let's not use anything else."
Seems like someone would just need to make all the correct shortcuts, or set of voice commands, I think the problem is reconfiguration and customization maybe?
