I'd have a lot more considered fun, and travel. And work over the university break instead of living off unemployment benefits and sulking. I passed up going to the hiring fair for a pre msdos Microsoft era, the industry was nascent. Can't decide if I dodged a bullet or not.
I'd also recommend having lots and lots of consensual sex. Nobody my age or above (near retirement) recommends working harder. Have experiences while you're young.
Try to find joy in moments of peace and stability, a nonstop rollercoaster ride isn't surmountable. Keep drugs (including alcohol) at least under 2 occasions per 2 weeks, even - especially - weed, more is not even really enjoyable and the unusualness is major part of the magic. Don't get into debt. Automate payments of your bills. Dont take a stance (like/hate) until you try it youself and few days pass. It's okay to remain undecided. Buy a good mattress, pillow and duvet; make up the bed, it's not just for show but improves the experience greatly. Lay down at exactly the same time every day and don't use any electronics 30 minutes before. Exercise - or at least a 10km walk on most days. Take good care of your back, if you haven't until now then this is the time when actual problems start. Less fatalism - relax, have fun, chill out - there are at least 3 entire lifetimes in front of you. Don't identify and live only by your work, even if it's your absolute passion and you have the best job ever. Never identify by a company, even if it's your own. Contact your siblings, parents, grandparents and friends often.
Most importantly: Design your life, make a plan of immediate actions, review both often and execute the steps. Living a good life is an activity that needs to be actively done. Sadness of wasted years will be deep.
