Ask HN: Is there a browser plugin to filter Wikipedia's “Weasel words”?

2 pointsby weasel_wordsabout 4 years ago
Is there such thing as a browser plugin to replace "Weasel words"[1] in news articles/web pages?
Even better would be something that follows the "Wikipedia Manual of Style/Words to watch"[2].
Perhaps something similar to Ghostery: replace the words with an icon to allow you to reveal the word if necessary.
I figure it might help users filter out a bit of the PR/news noise.
Thanks!
[1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weasel_word [2] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Words_to_watch

The closest thing I've seen around is B!tch to Boss [1] extension but... that's not what you might want. It does replace certain words but aiming at different goal.
[1] - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/b-itch-to-bos...
