India has granted EUA to the vaccine and the local manufacturer expects that 130-150 million Indians will receive this vaccine during the current year.[1] That is more than the entire population of Russia.
> “Sputnik V has become a tool of soft power for Russia,” said Michal Baranowski, a fellow with a US thinktank, the German Marshall Fund of the United States. “It’s planted its flag on the vaccine and the political goal of its strategy is to divide the west.”
Divide the West, eh? It is not very different from what Western powers have been doing in Russia's backyard for decades.
All these politicians and political analysts whining about Russian soft power should keep their traditional Russophobic positions to the side for a moment and answer one simple question: does the vaccine work?
1. https://www.indiatoday.in/coronavirus-outbreak/vaccine-updat...
Nobody is forcing anybody to use the Russian vaccine.
You want it? It's (generally) available.
On the other hand, you want to wait for one of the western vaccines? That's OK, too.
Your move.
