I have the domain name [first name][last name].com and want to use it for my main personal email address. I thought of using [first name]@[first name][last name].com, but that seems a little repetitive.
Any creative ideas out there?
You should accept [anything-at-all]@[first name][last name].com and direct it to your email. The remaining question is what to put on your business cards (and everywhere else you pass out your email address).
If [first name][last name] is SHORT, you might try [first name][last name]@[first name][last name].com. I use a variant of that [my handle]@[my handle].com, and I have found that people understand it quite well. If [first name][last name] is LONG then you should avoid making people type too much -- something like me@[first name][last name].com or [nickname]@[first name][last name].com (eg; "tim@TimothyBordergum.com") might be nice.
-- Michael Chermside (mcherm@mcherm.com)
Just use a nickname. Like "nick", or "jsmith", or "smithy".
If you want to look professional, use "administrator" or "webmaster" or "admin".
You can use both.
I own [first name][last name].me and my take on this was to use my first initial as the part before the @ sign. So it's s@steven[last name].me because I wanted my e-mail to have only my full name and the least amount of characters other than that.
