I know that Bluetooth has limitations for audio quality but I'm looking for a high-quality Bluetooth headset that has an excellent microphone.
Audio playback (i.e. the headphones) can be okay but I'm interested in giving the rest of the call participants a high quality audio experience. I've found that participants on a conference call engage more deeply when the video and audio sound better.
Right now I have AirPods Pro. The microphone capture quality is just so-so (I do a test call to myself); the built-in laptop microphone sounds better.
One option is a stand-alone Bluetooth microphone, but the only reason I'm choosing Bluetooth is for convenience and aesthetic reasons, otherwise I'd go wired. Thanks!
I own a Sony WH-1000XM3, and although I primarily use it for music listening and noise cancelling I use it for all of my video calls.
I've looked at a few reviews that are so-so on the microphone, but on the occasion that I ask people they say I sound fine.
I recommend checking out Reddit's /audiophile subreddit if you want to get more intel: https://old.reddit.com/r/audiophile/
Review: https://www.soundguys.com/sony-wh-1000xm3-wireless-bluetooth...
