This is some major corporate speak BS.
Accountability is not a skill. It's a value when a person reaches a certain level of maturity. You cant teach it as a checklist and expect people to go, "Okay, so the next step is for me to admit mistakes were made and it's my fault, which can potentially cost me my job." Or where you sacrifice your free time to help push the project forward for the better of the team. This is inner motivation to always look back that you were the bigger person in a situation, not a fucking selling point. 99.9% will hate you for your up front honesty when being accountable. That's the whole point. 0.01% will notice and want to be around you more. Accountability, at least taught in the shithead sales manner as this article is a thinly veiled attempt of a company trying to say, "You can totally trust us". You cant tell, you show this through action. I'm a hardcore capitalist, but this bullshit is obviously written by someone who had never held a shovel in their lives. Responsibility is you showing up on time. Accountability is you fessing up you were late immediately and offering to stay later by more time than you were late to make up for it. I hate generational white collar twats that try to intellectualize blue collar ethics. Stay in your lane.
