There are people like me, with an unexplained immunodeficiency, who should still wear masks. I had the vaccinations on the recommendation of my immunologist, but since there were no studies done with immunocompromised people (they were omitted from the vaccine studies), no one knows if the vaccine will actually work with me. It's likely it won't, because my body doesn't make antibodies like it is supposed to.<p>Everything is not a political statement as some seem to believe.
I found this passage especially Interesting: “For this subset, diligence against COVID-19 remains an expression of political identity—even when that means overestimating the disease’s risks or setting limits far more strict than what public-health guidelines permit.”<p>I never thought of it that way, but more importantly, I never thought such a thing could be politicized. Something has fundamentally broken in our society when people feel the need to politicize every decision.
