Someone opened a GitHub issue calling it "pretentious" and asked to rename the project but it got closed w/ a "U Mad Bro" response: <a href="https://github.com/standard/standard/issues/1609" rel="nofollow">https://github.com/standard/standard/issues/1609</a><p>Maybe that makes it officially a standard after all.
