So that was from a year and a half ago<p>I wish the linked article publish date showed up on HN.<p>The idea that a carbon tax is ineffective -- possibly because it has to be slow/gradual?? -- just seems nonsensical.<p>People are threatening to move to different states constantly when politicians want to institute a 5-cent plastic bag tax.<p>Taxes work.<p>A carbon tax is prob the only realistic way to not mass suicide.<p>Also the part about the 'we want a mostly GOP solution'. Is that because he's a GOP? Or what does that even mean?<p>I do appreciate the urgency message though.
It's sad that people still think any of this will happen. We're well past the point of no return, we've chosen to just live with it (or die from it). Time to buy a house on a hill or move to Canada.
