Iran Enlists Its Spies to Hunt Down Power-Hungry Bitcoin Miners

Yeah, I'm going to be with Iran on this one. Bitcoin mining is an enormous waste of energy even if we're not living in a country largely cut off from international aid or trade.

You must be a special kind of stupid to mine Bitcoin in Iran. Why bother with the IRG when you could just as easily mine it next door in Dubai?

To confiscate equipment and coins I guess.
