Minor correction; plotting Chia on an SSD will wreck it, not &quot;mining&quot; Chia. The article gets it right, but the title might be misleading.<p>Really, it&#x27;s a bit inconsistent to use the term &quot;mining&quot; for Chia. Plotting is done once per plot, and then can be farmed for eternity (or until the network decides your plot size is not difficult enough).<p>Long term, I suspect farming Chia on SSDs may end up being attractive due to the much lower power consumption and heat output.

Only 256gb needed? Why not ramdisk?
