It was a mind shatteringly great post when he posted it &amp; it still keeps coming up again and again, Steve yeggee&#x27;s Notes From The Muster Magic Bus[1].<p>&gt; Software engineering has its own political axis, ranging from conservative to liberal.<p>To me this identified a core truth in myself &amp; helped me reject fear, de-prioritize the small stuff, learn to let more colleagues attempt&#x27;s ride (even though I saw better possibilities). I wanted to be a liberal software developer, not afraid of, not clutching to maintain systems &amp; status quo&#x27;s &amp; notions of security.
