In my sons 4th grade class (now back to 4 days in person) there are several kids that have not participated in virtual school. Knowing these kids, I know they live in marginal situations. Before the pandemic, they were mostly OK, despite their situation. In part because they had a lot of support via public school system. Post pandemic some of these kids have had serious behavior issues, and I really feel terrible for them. They clearly were stuck for long periods in a poor home situation.<p>I think of these kids quite a bit whenever anyone is an absolutist about not having in person education.
