In Australia at least, the wearing of wedding rings can be dated back to about the 1950s when lots of European migrants arrived. I would assume that's regional too? I'm in my 20s, and rings don't seem particularly common? Is it that much stricter in the UK? or has it become less of a thing in the past 10 years?
