Fast-growing (2MM monthly uniques) YC S11 startup looking for 1st employee

1 pointsby iballalmost 14 years ago
We are a hotttt Y Combinator company (voted 4th most likely to succeed out of 63 companies at "prototype day" this summer) looking for a smart developer. Our product is cool and consumer-facing. Check out our graph! http://i.imgur.com/Cg45E.png
You'll be working as a key member of a very small team -- this is not the "startup within a big company" thing, or even the "25 people at an expensive VC'd out loft office" thing. This is the real deal startup situation. We have 3 co-founders who've been working on the project since the beginning. You would be our 1st hire, so we are looking for something close to a cofounder.
We use the following technologies -- maybe you've heard of them!

- Ruby on Rails - jQuery - Git - Heroku - SASS - Facebook API - Twitter API

Our product runs on crowd-sourcing, game dynamics, and reputation systems, so hopefully you're interested in that sort of thing.
We also want to build some kind of mobile product -- experience with iOS or Android development or with building mobile-optimized websites would be "nice to have"
We are angel-funded. You'll get a real stake in the company and a salary. We'll hook you up with whatever computing equipment you need to do your thing.
To apply, send an email to hugememe@gmail.com that includes (at least most of) the following about yourself:

- Name - Location - Educational background - Most recent job - Anything you've built online that you're proud of - Any open source contributions you're proud of - Do you have a blog, twitter, or github account? If yes, send them. If you don't have a blog, please send some kind of <1 page writing sample
