Yes, most of what passes for innovation these days (Uber, Grubhub) are just new ways to undercut labor and are still only profitable if you can expand fast enough to get a near monopoly in your target market.

I guess the &#x27;still has unions&#x27; was cut to follow HN title length rules, but the still has is really funny because by using it PG basically admits that unions have been destroyed by the often predatory processes he profits off of and then with the releasing energy he suggests that those processes should be more precisely targeted to finish off their prey.<p>on edit: clarifying grammar.
