&gt; This narrative structure, repeated in various ways over the course of this collection, isn’t just frustrating from a literary point of view. The perspectives of these influential writers, like so many before them, are ultimately absorbed and parroted by influential policy makers, setting the terms of our political discourse.<p>If SF can&#x27;t start holding people accountable and electing people with real solutions, no amount of meta-narrative structure analysis will save it. People need to get real about who exactly has been causing the problems, and it&#x27;s not the stories or books that create reality.
