Ask HN: Are you backing up your repositories in your company?

We currently use Github for the company, but I couldn't find out if it's good practice to back up repos.

Of course. Github suspending accounts, someone gaining access and wiping the repos, ... all are risks you wouldn't want to be unprotected against. With git you can at least recover the repo itself from dev-machines, but a formal backup process, ideally covering issues etc, is better.

Github can probably count as one backup, but you probably should keep another backup offline
