Some things I have learned about maximizing your potential which is sorta’ like unfair advantages:<p>1. Be slow to react
2. Always look below the surface and expect to find more hidden information
3. Arrive early to appointments
4. Ask questions you already know the answer to
5. Listen way more than speaking
6. Take good notes, and review them later.
7. Skim read, then re-read for relevance.
8. Be kind to yourself
9. Take appropriate risks
10. Find your center, and practice centering.
11. Plan for success.
12. Planning starts with questions or challenges.
13. Define and use process as your guide.
14. Work is necessary for survival, but it is not the answer to life satisfaction-that’s too big of an ask for a job. Play, work on hobbies, volunteer.
15. Look people in the eyes and connect with them.
16. Learn and use a person’s name.
17. Remember that your view of the world is not the same “movie” that other people are watching.
18. Wake up early enough to get some important things done: reading, stretching, centering, exercising, etc.
19. Don’t hold on to negative thoughts—it interferes with your experience and decision making.
20. Be sincere and consistent.
21. Negotiations succeed when both sides win.
22. Giving is the most satisfying experience.
23. Always receive gifts with grace-you give joy to the giver.
24. If you have an important message to deliver, then practice and prepare well to deliver it concisely and effectively.
25. The person who can talk confidently and effectively in front of 5-10 people is on the path to leadership.
26. Every day is a chance to try something new-use that to your advantage.
27. Failure and challenges are a necessary part of a successful life-iff you learn and work to overcome.
28. Explaining in the context of a story is a powerfully effective way to deliver your message.
29. Remember that your view or understanding of a concept is based on your individual knowledge and experiences. Expand your world to achieve higher levels of comprehension.
30. Don’t be afraid. You are way more capable than you think.
