I live in New England, and we’re seeing impacts already. The tick population has gone from near zero in the 90’s to them being ubiquitous now, with Lyme disease everywhere. The mussels that used to cover the rocks at low tide are gone, replaced with other sea creatures like hermit crabs. The summers are much hotter than they were. The lobsters are still here but they will probably decline in the next few years. There are droughts more frequently now.
