I’m sure it’s of no surprise to anyone that Nextdoor can be a force multiplier of toxicity.<p>Today a local bar announced that they were reopening, and my husband asked if they were hosting social gatherings as we’ve been working to find an LGBTQ-friendly space. He received a great deal of venom and deleted his comment.<p>The selling point given to me is the same as the one stated here in the article. Nextdoor brings people together to build stronger neighborhoods.<p>Our neighborhood is small and our house is not inconspicuous. It’s been a very quiet afternoon for both of us, and we’re moving pretty slow.<p>Good for them, they got money.
