The way Jim Wales and wikimedia in general acted throughout this whole controversy was so eye opening. Wikimedia very rarely goes on a heads on confrontation on copyright issues and is (rightfully!) very cautious in the way it enforces IP laws. But they didn't mind openly mocking and almost ruining the life of an independent photograph that couldn't even afford his own defense at the end.

A motion triggered photo should then also be considered a selfie since the subject caused the photo to be taken, not the equipment owner.<p>Imagine the ramifications of that for speed cameras. “You can’t use that image of me speeding! It’s copyrighted to me!”
