I mean, they could have just had a checkbox "switch to old design" and call it a day. I like the new design in a single-tab, single-use case scenario, but the moment you have multiple tabs it becomes weird. When you're like me and you open 50+ tabs when trying to customize Devise and you're searching for tutorials, then it becomes a complete mess.
