In 1961, Alan Shepard flew to 187 kilometers on NASA's little Freedom 7 pop rocket. In 2021, over 20 years after Blue Origin was started and 60 years after Freedom 7, Bezo's New Shepard capsule flew to 107 km. Perhaps Blue Origin should get their own house in order before they start criticizing their competitors.
Safety arguments about manned Starship have some salience. It seems to repeat some of the flaws of the STS in that there is no realistic plan to get away from a failing rocket.
