My wife was served by one of these at Yayoi in the Hillsdale Mall, which is a mass-market restaurant (average entree price $18, actually on the low side for the Bay Area these days). So it's part of our ordinary daily experience, just like self-driving cars and those little Starship delivery robots that my kid likes to chase around downtown Mountain View. She said the experience was fine, it found her table no problem and it's actually kinda convenient (and contactless!) to just grab your plate off the moving tray.
