Sorry if off topic, but if you're going to link to Reddit, at least link to old.reddit.com
I just clicked "view all replies" 3 times, and never got shown more than an additional 5, then got a pop-up that I'm assuming was supposed to tell me how much better the app experience is (for the 3rd time), but it never actually populated, and just blocked half the screen.
It's amazing to me that a relatively benign ux change/"upgrade" was the determining factor in digg v reddit, and yet reddit seems determined to make their site as unusable as possible.
You'd think reddit would understand how easy it can be to trigger a mass user exodus. Especially since their success can probably be explained more by digg's downfall than any proactive actions on their part.
This is about the Windows photo app fwiw. I thought it might be about the Android app, which keeps nagging me to update and then doesn't actually do so when I click the button. That's ok, I always refused because I figure that such upgrades always make things worse.
It seems like alot of things like this just get finished and optimal at some point, but there's still a few people whose salary depends on changing it, so it will just keep getting changed, good changes or no.
Things like irfanview and imageglass are great alternatives, but I actually find myself using the photos "Edit & Create" option a lot, so I'm not sure I'm really looking for another default image program.
