Apart from the usual things like location, salary range and tech stack, one thing that is really important to me is to understand the market for that role.<p>I am not interested in fashion. If there was a great job in fashion, I would probably never take it for that reason. On the other hand, a job paying slightly less in a market that I am really interested in is more likely to get my attention.<p>The only other thing I think is just good UI. Job boards like most search engines can easily return too many or not enough results. Filters are only helpful for some things but there is a danger that I might filter out a job that is paying less than I get now but actually, I might be missing some amazing jobs (maybe with stock).
