Ask HN: Have you ever left your software development career as immigrant?

I already had a front-end development job in my home country when I arrived to Copenhagen to deliver news papers at night. Tried to get a dev job there but I was rejected without interviews. Went back to my home country when I understood that the only job I can do is programming.

As an immigrant I went from soft engg to sales, then back to r&d engineering.
