I am surprised ford was even in the market. American car amnufacturers have made objectively inferior cars for the last 20 years with none of the status associated with german manufacturers.
Tata and Maruti Suzuki monopolize the budget sector. Honda and toyota run the middle tier and Germans run the top end. The enthusiasts buy bikes and minis.
Ford and american manufacturers at large have zero market in india. About time they left.

lack of expected growth in India's car market.
Are all foreign and domestic manufacturers affected by this, or were there additional considerations for Ford vehicles in India? For instance, issues with price, features, appearance, anti-foreign sentiment, restrictions for foreign brands, or something else?

What do you expect, with high repairablity, high costing of parts. Lack of transparent service. And junk boxes for cars? You'd need to run.
